Dato curioso: El genial e icónico "tacucho de Pachuco", amarillo de Staley Ipkiss (en el que yo me inspiré) no fue una idea original de Nguyen, sino ¡de la madre de Jim Carrey!... Ya que ella fue quien creo el diseño original, (en el que luego la vestuarista se basó para la cinta), cuando su hijo era un simple jovenzuelo quien comenzaba su carrera en la comedia, realizando shows de stand-up...Además, el mismo Carrey comentó, que la personalidad tan excéntrica y carismática de su alter ego: 'La Máscara', se inspiró en la de ¡su propio padre!. Whaaaaaaat?😱 Ahora sabemos de dónde salió tanto talento.👏
¿Por qué 'La máscara'?: La elección del outfit basado en The Mask, se debe a que para mí, el personaje representa la libertad, la alegría de vivir y la extravagancia en su máxima expresión. Su exceso de confianza, que a veces llega a caer en el total descaro y su exquisita desinhibición, resultan tan natural en él, que se vuelve adictivo mirarlo, al grado de quererlo imitar. Para mí no existe un mejor representante de la frase: "No vivir de y para los demás"... La Máscara es auténtico, no tiene filtros, es como quiere ser en todo momento, nunca le importa "el qué dirán" y a pesar de ser tildado de "loco" o "raro", así es feliz. No se queda con las ganas de hacer lo que desea, y consigue todo lo que se propone, nunca se rinde, es invencible y vive al máximo; todo lo transforma en una fiesta y es excesivamente optimista. Evidentemente es un personaje utópico, que sobrepasa el límite de lo políticamente correcto, (e incluso de la legalidad, cuando roba el banco como si nada) pero si nos ponemos a pensar, es un gran ejemplo de cómo vivir la vida, aplicando sólo una pizca de su genial, extrovertida, alegre, atrevida, imparable y confiada actitud. Él es simplemente... "Magníficooooo". ;)

Fun fact: The great and iconic yellow "Pachuco suit", of Staley Ipkiss (which I was inspired by) was not an original idea of Nguyen, but of Jim Carrey's mother! ... Since she was the one who created the original design, (on which the costume designer was later based for the film), when her son was just a simple young man, who began his career in comedy, performing stand-up shows ... In addition, Carrey commented that the eccentric and charismatic personality of his alter ego: 'The Mask', was inspired by his own father! Whaaaaaaat? 
Now we know where all that talent came from. 
Why 'The Mask'?:The choice of the outfit based on The Mask, is because to me, the character represents freedom, joie de vivre and extravagance at its best. His overconfidence, which sometimes falls into total impudence and his exquisite disinhibition, are so natural in him that it becomes addictive to look at him, to the point I want to imitate him. For me there is no better representative of the phrase: "Do not live by and for others" ... The Mask is authentic, it has no filters, he is like he wants to be all time, he never cares about "what others will say or think about him" and despite to be branded as "cu-cu" or "weirdo", he really is happy like that. He is not left with the desire to do what he wants, and he gets everything he sets out to do, he never gives up, he is invincible and he lives to the fullest; turns everything into a party and is overly optimistic. Obviously he is a utopian character, who exceeds the limits of what is politically correct, (and even of legality, when he robs the bank, just like that ) but if we think about it, he is a great example of how to live life, applying only one sprinkle of her cool, outgoing, cheerful, sassy, unstoppable and confident attitude. He's just ... "Sssssmokin!". ;)

When to wear it ?: Night out with homies to a bar, club or lounge ... for the Coco Bongo in Cancún it would be ideal, ha😝 (just don't be surprised if suddenly you really want to dance, in the middle of a big crowd or if someone sees you and yells: "Hey pachuca!". 😆Lol).

-Yellow cardigan ; I chose this garment because I did not want to give it such a formal style, but if you prefer, you can use a suit jacket... But try to pick one with a trendy and avant-garde style, (nothing office type, please).

Maquillaje:
Como sabrás, el color insignia de La Máscara, es el verde, así que no puede faltar en tu makeup, pero obviamente no se trata de aplicarlo por todo tu rostro, esto no es un disfraz, es una inspiración funcional y sobre todo trendy... Así que sólo aplícalo en tus ojos: Lo primero es utilizar un delineador en barra tipo crayón para colorear el párpado móvil, luego realiza un cat eye grueso y en el otro extremo, a un costado del lagrimal, baja y haz otra especie de punta. Ahora dibuja un pequeño círculo o puntito justo a la mitad de la línea inferior de las pestañas. Aplica 2 capas de rímel, un poco de blush natural y bálsamo labial.
Make up: As you know, the signature color of The Mask, is green, so it cannot be missing from your makeup, but obviously it is not about applying it all over your face, this is not a costume, it is a functional inspiration and above all trendy. So just apply it to your eyes: The first thing is to use a crayon stick eyeliner to color the mobile eyelid, then make a thick cat eye and at the other side, near the tear duct, get down and make another type of tip. Now draw a dot just in the middle of the lower lash line. Apply 2 layers of mascara, a little natural blush, and lip balm.
Peinado:
Para el cabello sólo realiza un planchado tradicional, recuerda proteger tu cabello con productos termo activos y una vez alisado, coloca hidratantes, de medios a puntas. Yo siempre utilizo y recomiendo productos naturales como aceite de coco, jojoba o aguacate... Ah claro y por supuesto, no te olvides de usar el sombrero homburg o fedora coqueto.
Ahora sí estás listísima para salir con #actitudTheMask, pero sobre todo ya te ves súper....Ssssssssmokin! Ha
Hairstyle:
For the hair, only perform a traditional ironing, remember to protect your hair with thermo-active products and once straightened, apply moisturizers, from medium to ends. I always use and recommend natural products such as coconut oil, jojoba or avocado ... Oh and of course, don't forget to wear the cute homburg or fedora.
Now you are sooo ready to go out with #TheMaskattitude, but above all you already look .... Ssssssssmokin! Ha.
