Outfit inspirado en Mulán 2020/ Inspired outfit in Mulan 2020

El 4 de septiembre, se estrena el tan esperado filme de Mulan, versión live-action, a través de la plataforma Disney Plus, y por ello decidí inspirar mi siguiente look (ideal para la temporada otoño-invierno) en un personaje tan poderoso y genial.

On September 4, the long-awaited film of Mulan, live-action version, is released through the Disney Plus platform, and that is why I decided to inspire my next look (ideal for the autumn-winter season) in a character so powerful and cool.

Dato curioso: En las palabras de Liu Yifei, quien da vida a Mulan, el color rojo de su vestimenta guerrera representa: pasión, valentía y amor.

¿Por qué Mulán?: La elección de Mulán como inspiración para mi outfit, se debe a que el personaje representa el empoderamiento femenino en toda su expresión... Ella pasa de ser una simple dama casadera, a la mejor guerrera que China ha tenido. Además de luchar contra todo un ejército, también lo hace contra los estereotipos y finalmente se libera de la opresora cadena del sexismo, muy presente en su cultura; demostrando su valía, fuerza y pasión ante el mundo, pero sobre todo...ante ella misma. Se gana el respeto de todas las personas que la menospreciaban y subestimaban por su aparente debilidad, no a través de la intimidación, (como la gran mayoría lo haría) sino demostrando su gran astucia, coraje, esfuerzo, lealtad e integridad. Su móvil principal son el amor hacia su familia y el honor...causas que definitivamente valen la pena enaltecer.

Why Mulan?: The choice of Mulan as the inspiration for my outfit is because the
character represents female empowerment in all its expression ... She goes from being a simple marriageable lady to the best warrior China has ever had. In addition to fighting an entire army, she also does against stereotypes and finally frees herself from the oppressive chains of the extreme sexism present in her culture; demonstrating worth, strength and passion before the world, but
above all ... before herself. She earns the respect of all the people who belittled and underestimated her for her apparent weakness, not through intimidation (as the vast majority would do it) but by demonstrating her great cunning, courage, effort, loyalty and integrity. Her main motive is love for her family and honor ... causes that are definitely worth praising.

Cómo armarlo:

Gracias a la temporada, el uso de "capas" para completar tu look, no sólo resultará practico para cubrirte del frío, sino que además lucirá muy chic. Comienza "reutilizando" un vestido asimétrico, ligero de chifón, muselina u otro material vaporoso y semi transparente (que normalmente utilizarías para el verano); coloca encima una blusa cruzada de manga larga y amplia en las muñecas. Elige unos skinny jeans blancos o leggins gruesos (por aquello de los aires colados 😕), finalmente utiliza unos botines que tengan un aire "guerrero"; si lo tuyo no son los tacones, puedes emplear unos botines de piso o con algo de plataforma (por aquello del factor "intimidación" lol 😄).

👆La utilización del color rojo en las prendas es básico, así que intenta no sustituirlo por rosa o algún color semejante, ya que como la misma actriz lo expuso en el Behind the Scenes, es un elemento vital del vestuario que transmite fuerza y pasión.

How to put it together:

Thanks to the season, the layering is great to coplete your look, cause will
not only be practical to cover you from the cold, but it will also look very chic. Begin by "reusing" an asymmetrical, light chiffon dress or other sheer material (which you would normally wear for summer); Overlap a wide-lenght sleeved, red blouse with a V neck . Choose white skinny jeans or thick leggings (in case of those heavy airs 😕), finally use ankle boots that have a "warrior" air; if heels aren't your thing, you can use flat boots or some platform boots ( just to add the "intimidation" factor lol 😉).

👆 The use of the color red in the garments is basic, so try not to
substitute it for pink or some similar color, since as the actress
herself exposed it in Behind the Scenes, it is a vital element of the
wardrobe that transmits strength and passion.

Accesorios:

Una riñonera o cangurera roja de polipiel (yo no utilizo ninguna prenda de piel animal) es ideal para complementar un outfit de "badass" 😎 (chica ruda) y además está súper de moda, así que dejemos las bolsitas coquetas o maxibolsas incómodas para otra ocasión ... O personaje, ha. Los accesorios discretos también pueden quedar bien para un look inspirado en un "combate asiático", así que elige collares finos y largos que no atraigan mucho la atención. En general no soy muy fan de los aretes tradicionales, así que prefiero siempre usar un original earcuff, en esta ocasión el mío es mediano, dorado y va ubicado justo en la mitad de la oreja.

Accesories: A red faux leather fanny pack (I don't use any animal skin garment) is ideal to complement a "badass" outfit 😎 so let's leave the flirty bags or uncomfortable maxi bags for another occasion ... Or character , lol. Discreet accessories can also work well for an "Asian combat" inspired look, so choose long, thin necklaces that don't attract too much attention. In general, I'm not a fan of tradititonal earings, so I always prefer to use an original pair or an earcuff, this time, mine is medium, golden and is located right in the middle of the ear.

Peinado:

Plancha el cabello de la raíz a la mitad; luego riza las puntas con una tenaza o el método que prefieras, recuerda proteger tu cabello con algún producto termo activo antes de aplicar calor, posteriormente aplica un producto hidratante en las puntas (yo utilizo aceites de coco, aguacate o jojoba por ejemplo). Rocía con spray para fijar bien esos "chulos rulos" (caireles, rizos, etc).

Hairstyle:
Iron the hair from the roots to the middle; then curl the ends with a curling iron or whatever method you prefer, remember to protect your
hair with a thermo-active product before applying heat, then use a moisturizing product when you finish. (I use coconut, avocado or jojoba oils for example). Spray the endings to keep still those cute curls.

Maquillaje:

Elabora un cat eye ligero con delineador negro. Ilumina el lagrimal y toda la línea inferior de las pestañas con sombra metálica (procura que sea del mismo tono que el de tus accesorios). Utiliza dos capas de rímel como máximo. Colorea tus mejillas con un poco de sombra rosa o el color que mejor se acople a tu tono de piel. Deja tus labios sólo con algo de gloss transparente o con un ligero toque de color y ¡presto!

Make up: Create a light cat eye with black eyeliner. Illuminate the tear duct
and the lower lash line with metallic shadow (make sure it match with your accessories). Use a maximum of two layers of mascara. Color your cheeks with a little pink shade or the color that best suits your skin tone. :) Leave your lips only with some transparent gloss or with a slight touch of color and presto!
