Este año el icónico filme Volver al futuro, celebra su 35° aniversario, así que en su honor les presento estos dos looks inspirados en el genial, irrepetible y "siempre confundido con la cuarta dimensión"; Marty McFly. This year the iconic film Back to the Future celebrates its 35th anniversary, so in its honor I present these two looks inspired by the great, unrepeatable and the "always confused with the fourth dimention"; Marty McFly.

Dato curioso: "Calvin Klein" es el nombre que Lorraine (la versión joven de la madre de Marty, quien aún no conoce a su hijo) le da a éste por error, cuando lo ve escrito en su ropa interior, sin embargo, para la adaptación francesa, la famosa marca se tuvo que cambiar por la de "Pierre Cardin"... O sea qué, ¿su madre lo llama "Pierre" durante el resto de la cinta? ¡"Eso suena pesado"! 😱
Fun fact: "Calvin Klein" is the name that Lorraine (the younger version of Marty's mom, who doesn't know him yet) gives him by mistake, when she see it written in his undies, however for the French adaptation, the famous brand was changed to "Pierre Cardin"... So, that means his mother call him "Pierre" during the rest of the movie?. "That's heavy"!!! 😱
¿Por qué Marty?: La inspiración del outfit surgió porque la trilogía de Volver al futuro es de mis favoritas; tanto él, como Emmett Brown (alias "el Doc") son personajes icónicos en el cine. Este año celebraron su Aniversario 35. Marty es un joven astuto, fiel, ágil, honorable, orgulloso, aventurero, cool pero sobre todo valiente...a tal grado que dicha cualidad, a veces se torna en su contra... Sin embargo su capacidad de recapacitar y priorizar el bienestar de sus seres queridos por encima de sus propios impulsos, (como cuando decide no participar en la carrera contra Needles,a pesar de la presión social) lo convierte en un excelente modelo a seguir.
Why Marty?:The inspiration for the outfit came from the Back to the Future trilogy being one of my favorites; both he and Emmet Brown (aka "the Doc") are iconic characters in cinematography. In this year they celebrated their 35th Anniversary. Marty is a cunning, faithful, agile, dignified, proud, adventurous, cool but above all brave young man ... to such a degree, that this quality sometimes turns against him. However, his ability to reconsider and prioritize the well-being of his loved ones over his own impulses, (as when he decides not to participate in the race against Needles, despite social pressure) makes him an excellent role model.
Outfit 1:
Estilo /Style: Sporty casual
Temporada: Últimos meses del verano y principios de otoño
Season :Last months of summer and first months of fall.
Cuándo usarlo:Salida casual con amig@s. Caminata relajada por la ciudad. Ida de compras.
When to wear it: Casual hang out with friends. Relaxing walk around the city. Shopping. .
Cómo armarlo: El estilo de Marty es en capas; para la primera utilicé un crop top blanco, la segunda es una chaqueta corta de mezclilla deslavada, la tercera y última es un chaleco "salvavidas" para un "marinero" o "guardacostas" (bromas locales 😜) esencial para el look "Marty". Aunque es recomendable que sea rojo (como el original) puedes adaptarlo a un tono menos llamativo, como el rosado, si prefieres. Para la parte inferior elegí un short de mezclilla deslavada de corte alto. Como calzado, los tennis blancos con un toque de color rojo también son básicos (de preferencia utiliza unos Nike Cortez clásicos, como los originales) yo como desafortunada aún no los adquiero (buaaaa 😭) utilicé unos Náutica Yocona (algo es algo... 😁).
How to put it together: Marty's style is layered; for the first I used a white crop top, the second is a washed denim short jacket, the third and last is a "lifesaver" vest for a "sailor" (local joke 😜) essential for the "Marty" look. Although it is recommended that it be red (like the original), you can adapt it to a less striking tone, such as pink, if you prefer. For the bottom, I chose a high-waist denim shorts. As footwear, white sneakers with a touch of red are also basic (preferably use the classic Cortez Nike sneakers, like the originals), unfortunately, I still haven't acquired them (buaaaa 😭) so I am wearing Nautica Yocona sneakers. (Well, at least ...😁)
-Reloj (esencial para éste look) yo use uno llamativo y color rosa para combinarlo con el chaleco.
-Collar doble metálico con pedrería de cristal.
-Bolsa bucket color blanco.
-Audífonos inalámbricos (sólo en caso de que quieras ir cantando mientras caminas por la ciudad... Algo "a doc" como: "Power of love" , Johnny B.Goode o "Back in time"... Ha. 😜).
Accesories:
-Watch (a must for this look) I used a striking pink to match the vest.
-Double metallic necklace with crystal rhinestones.
-White bucket bag.
-Wireless headphones (in case you want to go singing while you walk through the city ... Something accurate like: "Power of love", Johnny B. Goode or "Back in time" ... Lol ).
Peinado:
Semi recogido con chongo alto y el resto del cabello planchado.
Hairstyle: Half high bun with straight hair.
Maquillaje:
Aplica sombra brillosa tono durazno en la línea inferior de las pestañas. Una capa de rímel. Rubor rosado ligero. Destaca tus labios con un rosa mexicano. Combinable con el outfit. (En caso de qué sí hayas elegido el chaleco rojo, usa para tus labios un tono rojizo también...).
Make up: Apply shimmering, peachy eyeshadow to the lower lash line. One layer of mascara. Light pink blush, highlight your lips with a hot pink, matching with the outfit. (In case you have chosen the red vest, use a reddish tone for your lips as well).
Outfit 2:
Estilo/ Style: Girly Casual
Cómo armarlo: Si no te gusta mostrar mucha piel, pero quieres lucir femenina con el estilo de Marty, puedes aplicar estos ligeras modificaciones: una playera blanca detallada de estoperoles o pedrería en lugar de crop top, jeans deslavados en lugar de shorts, tacones tipo botín, color burdeos en lugar de tennis.
👆Si eliges un chaleco rojo; usa tacones de un tono rojizo también (no burdeos).
How to put it together: If you don't like to show a lot of skin, but you want to look feminine with Marty's style,you can apply these slight modifications: a cute shirt with metal studs or rhinestones instead of a crop top, washed jeans instead of shorts, burgundy ankle boots with heels instead of sneakers.
☝ If you choose a red vest, wear a reddish heels too (not burgundy ones).

-Brazalete llamativo plateado (esto si de plano ni siquiera utilizas relojes).
-Bolsa tote blanca, mediana con toques femeninos.
☝Peinado y maquillaje son igual que el anterior.
